SABRINA EVERTT

WRITER | EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPIST

I’m Sabrina Evertt, a writer, expressive arts therapist and facilitator. My work brings together story, the creative process and reflective practices, to explore how we understand the turning points in our lives and what becomes possible when we start being honest about who we are.

Here you’ll find essays and ongoing writing, information about my expressive arts work, opportunities to participate in writing-based facilitation, and updates from the memoir I am currently completing.

Start Here:

Two people sitting on a park bench under umbrellas by a pond and surrounded by trees, with city buildings in the background.
A person is reaching for a book on a bookshelf. The person is wearing a mustard yellow sweater and multiple bangles. The bookshelf contains books with various colorful covers.
A young girl with long blonde hair, tied in a ponytail with a pink hair tie, stands in front of a paint-splattered wall and two large paintings or posters, looking at the artwork. She wears a light gray long-sleeve shirt. The surroundings include a table filled with paint bottles, brushes, and art supplies.

My Memoir

A woman with short, reddish-brown hair looking to her right in a room with blurred people in the background.

I am currently working on a memoir that traces a season of transition shaped by trauma, heartbreak and the slow return to self-trust. This project explores how the stories we develop about ourselves shape the lives we build, and how writing helps us understand both.

My Writing

My essays explore identity, transformation and how we use the language of astrology to make sense of our lives.

FIREPOT EXPRESSIVE ARTS

My therapeutic work began through Firepot Expressive Arts and continues today as part of my broader creative practice. I work with groups and individuals using writing, movement, music, visual arts and story as tools for reflection, integration and growth.

A pile of various photographs, including an image of a railway track with a telegraph pole and a small building, black and white photos of people and scenes, and other vintage-style pictures, Some of the photos are layered on top of each other and appear to be physical printed photographs.

I teach and facilitate expressive arts and writing as a creative practice in both community and professional settings.

Creativity. Story. The Narratives that Shape us.

My work brings together creative practice, therapeutic training, and long-form writing. Whether through memoir, essays, or facilitation, I am interested in how people make meaning from experience and how story helps us move forward.

If you'd like to work together, invite me to teach, or follow my writing, I’d love to hear from you.
